Ideal state
What is the ideal state?
the InCongruence Method™ (The IC Method™) uses five questions to help leaders establish clarity before committing more resources to what comes next. Each facilitated application produces a Congruence Blueprint™ that gives the organization a shared reference for the state it intends to create and how it will know whether it is getting there.

What is the ideal state?
What must be true to make the ideal state real?
What must be in place to make those things true?
What is accessible now?
What must be measured to know whether you have reached, strayed from, or maintained your ideal state?
Each facilitated application of the IC Method™ produces a Congruence Blueprint™ owned by the organization.
Participants build the Blueprint during the facilitated inquiry, capturing the ideal state, what must be true, what must be in place, what is accessible now, and what must be measured to recognize when the intended state has been reached, strayed from, or maintained. By the end of the facilitation, the organization has a shared record of the thinking and decisions that will guide what follows.

The IC Method™ can be used with a recurring problem, a strategy, a program, a product launch, a change initiative, or another consequential decision. Facilitation creates a structured way to use the intelligence already present in the organization.
Leaders and participants contribute the knowledge and context that make the work relevant.
Dawne holds the sequence, the inquiry, and the conditions for productive dialogue.
The organization retains authority over conclusions, decisions, and the resulting work.
The sequence connects clarity to what is accessible now and to evidence that shows whether the intended state is being reached, maintained, or lost.
“Clarity at the beginning creates a stronger basis for every decision that follows.”
The IC Method™ connects intention, conditions, what is accessible now, and evidence so decisions can be evaluated against the state the organization actually intended to create.
From time to time, InCongruence convenes a small virtual cohort around a recurring organizational issue that multiple leaders have identified.
One situation becomes the focus of the facilitated session. Participants experience the IC Method™ in real time, following the inquiry as the issue is examined from ideal state through evidence while considering what the process reveals in their own context.
The cohort offers a way to experience the Method before deciding whether a deeper engagement would be useful for a team or organization.
Share the issue you’re working through →Cohorts are scheduled when enough interest gathers around the same or a closely related issue.
